Job Information

Ensure that all engineering development timing meet customer milestones and deliverables based on internal and supplier development schedules


Closely work with engineering teams internally and at several suppliers and coordinate engineering development work to ensure 100% on-time performance for all customer engineering deliverables


Needs to work with software suppliers closely, understand the status of the software development, identify issue areas, propose solutions to those areas, and report the status to management as well as to customer on weekly and in some cases daily basis


Proactively identify potential project risks and issues, alerting team members, contributing to identifying solutions, and escalating when necessary


Ensure to meet internal and external gate requirements for engineering development and present the status of the programs in management gate reviews.


Initiate, maintain, and publish program/project open issue lists, summary, and status. This has to be tracked daily and weekly to make sure all teams are on the same page.


Manage several suppliers who are currently developing different parts of the product code and report status to the teams internally and include the update to the overall SW development plan

Monitors and tracks engineering changes and associated cost impact.

Support quoting activity for new business by preparing technical documents and presentations.

Responsible for communicating the status of the software and hardware to the customer and the teamLead preparation for engineering meetings and presentations with the customer, suppliers, and publish meeting minutes.

Oversee new software development launches and provide coordination between customer plants

  • Bachelor Degree Electrical, Software, Computer Engineering or similar field.
  • Program management experience successfully interfacing with the customer and various internal departments such as product engineering and manufacturing.
  • Also requires Tier 1 experience in automotive electronics. Must have thorough understanding of US OEM customer development sequencing and documentation requirements such as APQP and PPAP.
  • Market research / sourcing and the capability to conduct feasibility studies for market development purposes is highly desirable.
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word
  • Must have the ability to effectively lead/supervise internal project teams
  • Automotive industry experience with familiarity of audio /electronic systems as well as corrective action / problem solving is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate would have both of automotive electronics engineering and program/ project management experience.
  • Must have the willingness and ability to travel internationally.
